My dad is diabetic and has nerve problems with his feet. He is not able to walk barefooted without pain. I got him some of these, and the ones that are black and have grippers on the bottoms, and he LOVES them. The way the top is knot, it allows plenty of circulation but they still stay up. Wonderful product!
